Governor Kayitesi Alice Welcomes Military Students from Nyakinama Senior Military Academy

On March 31, 2026, the Governor of the Southern Province, Kayitesi Alice, received a delegation of military students from the Nyakinama Senior Military Academy. The visit was part of their study tours conducted at the end of their academic program.

During the discussions, the focus was placed on how Rwanda’s national environmental protection policy contributes to both development and security within the province. The students were briefed on the province’s initiatives and how environmental conservation projects are integrated into broader strategies for sustainable growth and community safety.

After the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude to the provincial leadership for the warm reception and the detailed explanations provided about the province. They then proceeded to Nyanza District, where they visited various environmental projects, including soil conservation, tree planting, and land protection initiatives.

The study tour will continue in other districts of the Southern Province, including Huye, Nyaruguru, and Gisagara, where the students will further explore projects that highlight the link between environmental protection, development, and security.
