Minister Uwimana Consolée Visits school of Leaders in Byimana Sector

On March 25, 2026, the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Uwimana Consolée, together with the Executive Secretary of the Southern Province, Védaste Nshimiyimana, visited the school of Leaders in Byimana Sector, Ruhango District.

The school of Leaders serves as a platform where leaders at all levels—from sectors to cells—meet twice a month to evaluate themselves, share experiences, and discuss strategies for improving governance and serving citizens more effectively. It is designed as a peer-learning environment that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices.

Following the visit, Minister Uwimana Consolée held a discussion with Executive Secretaries from the districts of the Southern Province and other leaders who had come to learn from the Ruhango Leadership School. She encouraged them to make full use of this initiative as a tool to strengthen their leadership and to drive the socio-economic development of the communities they serve.

The Minister emphasized that the Leadership School is a powerful mechanism for building the capacity of leaders and fostering collective problem-solving.
