SERVICES PROVIDED IN INSPECTION

1).Conduct inspection of all buildings to check their compliance with City of Kigali Master Plan; approved designs in construction permits, zoning guidelines and any other applicable laws, policies and regulations regarding Building Construction in Rwanda;

2).Conduct foundation inspections for all storey buildings and other public buildings based on the applications received from the Kubaka system, and provide timely feedback to developers/ landowners prior to concrete casting for foundations of buildings;

3).To review all construction permits issued by City of Kigali One Stop Center to  ensure their conformity with the City of Kigali Master Plan and provide relevant recommendation where applicable;

4).To conduct a thorough assessment of occupied public buildings  to verify their compliance with national regulations on building construction, occupancy permits, fire safety, and security equipment to ensure that  buildings are fully meet with all legal requirements for structural integrity, safe occupancy, fire prevention and protection systems, as well as adequate security provisions;

5).Inspection of  public places  to ensure compliance with the hygiene instructions  established by the Council of the City of  Kigali  as well as other laws and regulations related to cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental protection;

6).Inspection all activities carried out in wetlands with the aim of ensuring that  all illegal activities are prevented and removed  to protect the environment;

7).Inspection of  dumping , quarries and mining activities as well as other activities that may damage the environment, to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations governing environmental protection;

8).Inspection of roads cleanliness ,the surrounding  open spaces,vacants plots,ravines and water drainages,residential areas , public places, to enforce hygiene and  cleanliness ;

9).Inspection of  roads and other infrastructures (Utilities) to ensure they comply with the governing laws and regulations  and inform the  concerned parties/Institutions the identified defects or damages  for maintenance and repair;

10).Inspection  of any other existing works to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
